specifically tailored to
THE NEW MAMAS

REHABILITATING THE PELVIC FLOOR
Pilates includes specific exercises to rehabilitate and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which may have become weakened or stretched during pregnancy and childbirth. ALLEVIATING MUSCULAR TENSION AND DISCOMFORT

ENHANCING MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
The postpartum period can be emotionally challenging as women adjust to the demands of motherhood, sleep deprivation, and hormonal fluctuations. Pilates incorporates mindfulness and breath awareness techniques, providing a mental and emotional respite from the stresses of new motherhood. Engaging in Pilates can promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and improve overall mood and well-being.
PROMOTING ENERGY AND VITALITY
Lack of sleep and the physical demands of caring for a newborn can leave new mothers feeling depleted and fatigued. Pilates increases circulation, oxygenation, and energy flow throughout the body, leaving women feeling invigorated and refreshed. Regular Pilates practice can help new mothers regain energy and vitality, enabling them to meet the demands of motherhood with greater resilience and endurance.
IMPROVING POSTURAL ALIGNMENT
Pregnancy often alters a woman's posture as the body adjusts to accommodate the growing baby. Pilates emphasizes proper alignment and body awareness, helping to realign the spine, shoulders, and pelvis. Improving postural alignment can alleviate strain on the spine and joints, reducing the risk of pain and injury.
Pilates offers postnatal women a safe and effective way to rebuild strength, restore balance, and support their physical and emotional well-being as they transition into motherhood.
